Joined TNT Software as their new Marketing Communications Manager. In charge of all outbound communications to clients, new business opportunities, as well as company and product brand development. Funnel customer feedback to development group and provide input to product management on user interface design and user experience. Manage all web development, SEO, Social, PPC campaigns, promotional programs, offline marketing collateral, events, and media relations.
After freelancing various web and design projects for 8+ years in my free time, I decided to go full time and start my own business. Projects ranged from mild to wild and in addition to a steady stream of referrals, several of my previous employers hired me as a regular contractor to continue supporting their marketing projects and programs. This was also an amazing opportunity to spend more time with two of my young (at the time) kids and do things like chaperone kindergarten field trips.
Joined a 50 year old health insurance third party administration company with new ownership fostering a startup environment. As Marketing Team Leader I was tasked with developing a new brand and identity for the company and services as well as new business development and refined proposal processes. CRM implementation and integrated marketing strategy across multiple channels.
Joined a fast paced, grassroots, startup company in the e-learning development industry as their Director of Marketing and Sales. Built a complete marketing and sales program from scratch. Managed multiple projects and resources in a virtual office environment.
Began the “Goodknight” program with Edward Jones Investments, studying for series 7 and 63 licenses. Became an officially licensed broker and joined an office in May 2001. Grew book of business to $10M+ in assets under management while gaining “in the trenches” sales and account management experience.
Graduated in top 10% of class from Washington State University (Vancouver) with a Master’s degree in Business Administration, emphasis in management. Finally got that custom engraved class ring.
Contracted with the business where I had spent my summer hours working outside of high school, to design a website for their heavy diesel truck and equipment inventory as well as parts and components sales. Maintained and regularly updated this site for years as well as evolving though three major redesigns.
Began first “real job” at Columbia Ultimate Business Systems as as marketing rep in their Public Sector Division. Progressed into corporate marketing department as a Digital Productions Coordinator specializing in sales presentations, trade shows, multimedia and web design. Began attending night school in 1998 in pursuit of master’s degree.
